Fleur Deavin – Foxton/Levin
As Foxton's Support Group Coordinator, I bring a deep understanding of the challenges grandparents face in raising grandchildren. With my husband Mike, we have 8 grandchildren, we have custody of three of our grandchildren—Zara, Braxton and Lincoln.
We have had to go through the legal system, counselling and do know and understand the obstacles that you come across.
I have come to the conclusion that we are not alone in this big change in our life. I understand that you come across different changes in parenting to the way we use to do it all. I understand that people can look at us all in many different ways. I am so grateful to Grandparents raising Grandchildren it enabled me to realize I personally am not alone in this journey.
